I Think I Broke Something

Fresh, unique, unbelievably talented and super-stylish, I Think I Broke Something (aka ITIBS) is the perfect mix of different music genres and sounds as diverse as Indie, Pop, Punk Rock, Electroclash and Electro Trash. All that with some crazy and vocally dominated Breaks to top it all of, the duo from Finland re destined to impress the Electronic music world. Their debut single “Superman Sabotage Clan” (released October 2014) is a perfect example of creativity. And when originality and authenticity come in such high levels as with I Think Broke Something, remixing their music can be a real challenge. Thankfully Hanuman Tribe as well as JST’s CrazyMT and Dizkodeath not only were up for answering the call but also delivered 3 killer remixes. A hybrid Dubstep-Indie remix by Hanuman Tribe, a pure Electro dancefloor burner by CrazyMT and some raw Disco Punk from the master of the kind Dizkodeath add to ITIBS’ debut single more power than the man of steel himself and definitely more style than Superman and Batman together.

The Finish duo I Think I Broke Something is back with their 2nd EP “Face Lift”! Those familiar with their debut “Superman Sabotage Clan” already know why ITIBS are one of the most fresh and stylish live acts to emerge from the Electronic music underground in 2014 and if their debut single impressed you, “Face Lift” will simply blow you away. Once again the duo challenges the Electronic music boundaries with 3 brand new originals which blend Punk Rock influences, Breaks, Electro and everything in between. Don’t let the lighter mood and Indie Dance attitude of the opening track “GnR” fool you though as it soon gives way to one of the noisiest and darkest Electronic tracks you’ve heard in a while, the 7 minute long “To Hell”. Last but not least, the EP self-titled track “Face Lift” comes full with untamed energy to close ITIBS’ second official release in the most appropriate way. And to quote its lyrics, by the end of it you’ll be so happy you won’t feel your face!

It was only a matter of time before ITIBS’ unique style and sound started to catch up to the underground Electronic music world and of course their first couple of releases didn’t go unnoticed by fellow artists so the “Face Lift Remixed” EP came to life. UK based Electro Trash/Techno duo Father, Italy’s Electro Punks Laforcah and our very own Hijack Da Bass were up to the challenge of remixing ITIBS’ originals and boy did they deliver!? Raw, dark Techno full of “four on the floor” European Trash Electro sound by Father, powerful Electro House with Punk attitude by Laforcah who and the Hijack Da Bass characteristic Electro House complete the “Face Lift” puzzle.

ITIBS’ new twisted electronic brainchild, “Macabre” was released on June 2016. Louder, wilder and even weirder than before the Finnish duo’s 4th EP is a mix of heavy Electro Punk, Breaks and dark Electronica, proving once again that ITIBS are far from being a common Electronic music act. Punk Rock attitude, explosive live presence and unique sound are just some of the qualities that make ITIBS stand out. And because artists who put their hearts and souls into their art are an inspiration to everyone, Laforcah has also contributed a remix adding his own touch of heavy Electro on “Macabre”.

DIY artistry at its finest, with ITIBS showcasing a wide range of talents extending well beyond their music, as the duo also makes its first official on screen appearance too on the (self-made) video for “Macabre” Pt.II.
